PSL 2026 – 18th Match: Quetta Gladiators vs Rawalpindiz

Quetta Gladiators ended their wait for back-to-back wins in PSL 2026, hammering a hapless Rawalpindiz side by 61 runs at the National Stadium in Karachi on Friday. A Rilee Rossouw half-century anchored a competitive 182/6, and then the Quetta bowlers ripped through a Rawalpindiz line-up that could never get going – finishing with the opposition bowled out for 121 in 17.3 overs.

Quetta Build a Platform

Rawalpindiz captain Mohammad Rizwan won the toss and inserted Quetta, but the decision backfired inside the first over. Rilee Rossouw arrived at two down early and batted with authority, posting 53 from 42 balls with six fours and a six to put Quetta in control. Captain Saud Shakeel provided a measured 42 from 39 at the top before Ben Sears removed him.

The innings really shifted gears in the back end. Hasan Nawaz smashed 39 off just 16 balls – five sixes in that blitz – before Jahandad Khan finished with an unbeaten 21 from six balls to push Quetta to 182/6. Ben Sears finished with 3/41 from four overs but it cost him – economy of 10.25 in a match Rawalpindiz needed to be tighter.

Rawalpindiz Collapse Under Pressure

The chase never got started. Mohammad Rizwan departed first ball, caught by Rossouw off Jahandad Khan for a golden duck – and from that moment the chase was effectively over. Usman Khawaja made seven before a run-out added to the chaos, and Rawalpindiz were three down for 45 in the fifth over.

Daryl Mitchell tried to rebuild with 30 from 32, but lost partners regularly. Saad Masood hit 31 from 19 to give the total some respectability, but wickets kept tumbling. Jahandad Khan was outstanding with the ball, taking 2/8 from 2.3 overs, while Saud Shakeel chipped in with a double-wicket over – 2/4 from a single over – to seal the contest. Usman Tariq took 2/23 to complete a disciplined Quetta effort.

Rawalpindiz were bowled out for 121, 61 runs short – a fourth defeat from four matches in PSL 2026.
