Serie A Tips 2025/26

The most competitive of Europe’s top five leagues is back as the Serie A 2025/26 season kicks off this weekend. Napoli edged Inter Milan to the Scudetto by just one point last May, which turned out to be a month to forget for Inter. History is not on Napoli’s side though, as they have never retained the Serie A crown. Serie A has produced a different champion in each of the last five seasons. Check out our 2025/26 Serie A outright betting tips as Staz.ai’s prediction model projects the full league table and title race for the new season.

New Signings

Two legends of the modern game have arrived in Serie A for the 2025/26 season, with Kevin De Bruyne joining Napoli and Luka Modric signing for AC Milan. Napoli have also added Dutch duo Sam Beukema and Noa Lang as they look to defend their title. While Juventus aim to return to the summit of Italian football with new striker Jonathan David, signed from French side Lille.

The standout managerial appointment of the summer comes at AS Roma. Gian Piero Gasperini, the mastermind behind Atalanta’s rise to Champions League regulars, takes charge with the expectation of guiding Roma back into Europe’s elite competition. On the pitch, Roma have strengthened with the arrivals of Irish striker Evan Ferguson and Flamengo talent Wesley, who caught the eye at the FIFA Club World Cup. Inter Milan’s choice of Cristian Chivu as manager has underwhelmed, a feeling only reinforced by a quiet transfer window in which the signing of Ange-Yoan Bonny from Parma stands out as the biggest move.

Battle For The Summit

The 2025/26 Serie A season is again expected to go down to the wire with only three points separating the top three according to Staz.ai projections. Inter Milan are tipped to wrestle the title back from Napoli, who could finish runners-up this time around. Atalanta are projected to hold on to a top-three spot thanks to their free-scoring style. 78 goals are predicted with that hope surely pinned on keeping hold of star forward Ademola Lookman. Napoli, meanwhile, will be without Romelu Lukaku for the opening months due to injury, a blow that could impact both their title defence and attacking output. AC Milan are expected to return to the top four and may edge Juventus for the final Champions League place. Roma could finish ahead of their rivals Lazio although the latter have a higher maximum points total so it could go either way.

Promoted Teams

Sassuolo and Cremonese return to Serie A after brief spells away, while Pisa make a remarkable comeback to the top division for the first time in 34 years. During that long absence the club even dropped as far as Serie D due to financial problems. Their return to the top flight is one of the stories of the new season.

Relegation Candidates

Injuries are not only shaping the title race but also the battle at the bottom, with Hellas Verona set to be without Slovakian international Tomas Suslov for around six months. Verona are projected to struggle and could finish bottom. While Lecce, who only survived on the final day last season, are again tipped to be in trouble with goals expected to be hard to come by. Newly promoted Cremonese could join them in the relegation zone. Although, it looks set to be close with just three points in the projections separating 12th-placed Torino and 18th-placed Cremonese.
