Punjab’s reply was defined by a stunning start from Priyansh Arya, who smashed 39 off just 11 balls – 3 fours, 4 sixes, strike rate of 354.55. His early blitz set the platform for everything that followed. He fell to Matt Henry in the 5th over, but the damage was done.
Shreyas Iyer (c) anchored the chase with a composed 50 off 29 (4 fours, 3 sixes), keeping Punjab calm as wickets fell around him. Cooper Connolly chipped in with 36 off 22, while Prabhsimran Singh made 43 off 34 before being run out. Shashank Singh’s unbeaten 14 off 6 sealed it in the final overs.
Matt Henry took 2/54 for CSK – the wickets came but the economy wasn’t good enough to derail Punjab’s momentum. Anshul Kamboj also grabbed 2/43.
