New Zealand Level T20I Series: Dominant Win at Seddon Park

New Zealand levelled the T20I series at 1-1 with a dominant 68-run victory at Seddon Park, Hamilton on Tuesday, 17 March. They posted 175/6 and then bowled South Africa out for 107 in the 16th over.

New Zealand Innings – 175/6

Devon Conway made 60 off 49 to anchor the innings, with Nick Kelly (21 off 12, SR 175) and Mitchell Santner (20 off 14, SR 142.86) providing the middle-order momentum. Josh Clarkson lit up the closing overs with 26 not out off 9 balls (SR 288.89) to push the total to 175/6. Wiaan Mulder (2/14) was South Africa’s best bowler.

South Africa Chase – 107 All Out

South Africa’s top order crumbled again. They were 31/3 inside 7 overs. Lockie Ferguson was outstanding – 3/16 from 3.3 overs (econ 4.85) – while Ben Sears took 3/14 from three overs. George Linde hit an entertaining 33 off 12 (SR 275) down the order, but it was just cosmetic. South Africa were all out for 107 in 15.3 overs, losing the series level going into match three.
