Premier League Tips 2025/26 Preview
15th August 2025

The day every football fan has been waiting for is here—the2025/26 Premier League kicks off on Friday, 15 August, with champions Liverpool opening against current alphabetical leaders AFC Bournemouth. Last season’s title race will be remembered as one of the least dramatic in Premier League history, but Statz.ai projections suggest this campaign could be a very different story. That means there’s plenty to dive into across the outright betting markets.
New Signings
The Premier League’s summer spending spree is set to smash through the £2 billion mark once again, and it’s last season’s runaway winners Liverpool that are leading the charge. The defending champions have raided the Bundesliga for attacking firepower, signing Hugo Ekitike and Florian Wirtz. Wirtz ranked third for assists in Germany’s top flight last season, while Ekitike netted 15 goals for Eintracht Frankfurt. Both also struck the woodwork five times – the joint-highest in the league – and will be hoping the Premier League goalposts are kinder. Elsewhere, Manchester United have bolstered their frontline with Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha, while Arsenal’s Viktor Gyökeres and Chelsea’s João Pedro will look to solve long-standing striker problems.
Battle At The Top
Our prediction model tips Liverpool to claim back-to-back Premier League titles for the first time since the 1983-84 season. The Reds’ strikeforce is expected to dominate the scoring charts, with a predicted 88 league goals. The title race, however, should be closer than last year, with Liverpool forecast to win by a five-point margin instead of ten. The top three are predictable with Arsenal and Manchester City neck and neck to finish second on 76 points. Arsenal and City’s improvement in front of goal is predicted to be what could push Liverpool all the way. Rounding out the top four could be newly crowned Club World Cup champions Chelsea Football Club with a gap of up to eight points separating the rest of the chasing pack.
Statz.ai Top of the Table Tips (Bet365)
- Liverpool to Win the League – 7/4
- Liverpool 1st, 2nd: Man City Forecast – 11/2
Promoted Teams
Of the three clubs promoted from the Championship, Leeds are projected to adapt best to the Premier League and have a strong chance of avoiding relegation. Burnley and Sunderland, however, are forecast to face major struggles in attack, with both expected to score fewer than 30 goals. Sunderland’s defence could also enter unwanted territory, with a predicted 90 goals conceded – only 14 fewer than Sheffield United’s infamous record.
Relegation Candidates
Joining two of the promoted sides in the relegation zone could be Wolves, following a quiet transfer window. Last season they flirted with danger before a late rally secured 16th place, but this time they are projected to repeat their defensive frailties, conceding 69 goals – the joint-second worst in the league alongside Brentford. The Bees have been tipped by some to struggle under new manager Keith Andrews, but a predicted 14th-place finish suggests otherwise. Goals, perhaps inspired by their set-piece specialist-turned-manager, could keep them comfortably clear of danger, with the third-highest total in the bottom half.
Statz.ai Relegation Tips (Bet365)
- Wolves to be relegated – 3/1
- Sunderland to finish bottom – 7/4
Other Statz.ai Value (Bet 365)
Brighton could be a surprise top-six entrant this season, matching their best-ever Premier League finish from the 2022/23 campaign. Statz.ai’s projections suggest a tight battle for European spots, with Aston Villa, Manchester United, and Tottenham all expected to finish around the 56-point mark. At 9/2 (Bet365), the south coast side offers best value.
One way to use the projected tables for outright bets is the “Team X to finish higher than Team Y” market. Bournemouth look a smart pick here as Team X over Everton (Team Y), with a projected 14-point gap making the 4/5 odds very appealing.
