Statz Premier League Shots Bet Builder: Sunday 21st December

5th December 2025

Sunday December 21st

It’s that rarest of birds this week: a Super Sunday with only one game being played.

Luckily, it could be a cracker between Aston Villa and Manchester United. And, with the Villains in red hot form and United missing a catalogue of key players, it could be good for shots-based punters, too.

So, here’s our 4/1 Premier League shots bet builder for December 21, which you can back at bet365 with a single click HERE.

·   Matty Cash 1+ shots (Aston Villa vs Manchester United)

·   Morgan Rogers 2+ shots (Aston Villa vs Manchester United)

·   Youri Tielemans 2+ shots (Aston Villa vs Manchester United)

Matty Cash

Matty Cash has fired in at least one shot in eight of his last ten outings.

There’s no reason to think he can’t build on that against United on Sunday, either. He will get forward and Matheus Cunha, who you’d expect to play on the left for the visitors, isn’t always the most diligent in tracking back.

Cash had two shots at Villa Park against Arsenal recently… so why wouldn’t he have at least one against United?

Morgan Rogers

These shots bets can be powered by Statz data and through other contextual factors, too.

Morgan Rogers is in excellent form, notching braces against both Leeds and West Ham in what is a free-scoring Villa side.

Confidence will not be in short supply then, and in front of his own fans – with Thomas Tuchel no doubt watching on – Rogers will be rather keen to put on a good show.

He averages 1.51 shots per 90 minutes this season; a baseline that you could easily see yielding two or more come Sunday.

Youri Tielemans

Here’s a really interesting selection.

Youri Tielemans started the season playing as a number six for Villa, but recently he’s been pressed into the number ten role due to injuries and availability issues.

So how about this return: in his last eight club games in his new role, the Belgian has scored, provided three assists and has produced two or more shots in four of his last seven outings.

If we narrow that to just Premier League games played at home, using Statz’s handy player pages, we see that Tielemans’ shot form reads 2-3-1-3 since his move higher up the pitch.

The two came against Arsenal and the three against Crystal Palace – both solid sides defensively. Manchester United, well, they are simply much easier to break down.

Sunday December 14th

It’s a bumper Super Sunday line-up this week with five Premier League fixtures to enjoy.

The North East derby – the first time we’ve had one of these in the Premier League in a long while, headlines a card that also features the likes of Manchester City, Tottenham and Crystal Palace.

Shots aplenty, please. Here’s our Premier League shots bet builderfor December 14, which you can back HERE at bet365 with a single click.

·   Dominic Calvert-Lewin 2+ shots (Leeds United vs Brentford)

·   Xavi Simons 2+ shots (Tottenham vs Nottingham Forest)

·   Nico O’Reilly 1+ shot (Manchester City vs Crystal Palace)

Dominic Calvert-Lewin

Leeds United have found their form alright, sticking three goals past both Liverpool and Chelsea in their last two outings.

In amongst that mini run have been shots galore from Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who had four shots against the Reds, three against the Blues and stretched his shot formline to 4-3-1-2-2.

Brentford have over-achieved most pundits’ expectations this term, but they continue to concede goals to some tune – the growing confidence of Leeds and Calvert-Lewin in particular should be worth plenty on Sunday.

Xavi Simons

Confident players tend to take more shots than those low on self esteem… that’s just basic psychology.

Xavi Simons, one of Tottenham’s flagship summer signings, has certainly gained in morale over the past week or so. He’s scored against both Brentford and Slavia Prague, scooping the Man of the Match award against the former.

His shot formline in his last four outings reads 4-1-2-2, so we can be optimistic that Simons will have two or more tries against a Nottingham Forest side that have had two fewer recovery days from their continental exploits.

Nico O’Reilly

There was a coming-of-age performance from Nico O’Reilly in the Champions League against Real Madrid in midweek.

The left back lit up the Bernabeu, scoring City’s opener and being declared Man of the Match.

He is given licence to get forward, which is evidenced by a shots formline of 1-0-2-1-2, and the confidence boost O’Reilly would have got on Wednesday should power him into this clash with Crystal Palace nicely.

Palace, remember, don’t always fare too well immediately after playing in Europe in midweek. They could be without Munoz, Sarr and Mateta on Sunday, and will find themselves under the pump against a City side in fine form.

Sunday 7th December

With all due respect to those involved, it’s not the most super of Super Sundays this week.

Brighton host West Ham and Crystal Palace travel to Fulham. So, if you’ve not done your Christmas shopping yet, Sunday might be the day…

Even so, opportunity knocks for punters. Here’s our Premier League shots bet builder for Sunday’s games, which weighs in at odds of 5.3/1.

And you can back it at bet365 with a single click by tapping HERE.

·   Jan Paul van Hecke 1+ shots (Brighton vs West Ham)

·   Jarrod Bowen 2+ shots (West Ham vs Brighton)

·   Samuel Chukwueze 3+ shots (Fulham vs Crystal Palace)

Jan Paul van Hecke

Here’s a random stat: no Premier League club has faced more corners this season than West Ham.

Brighton may be able to exploit that frailty in wide areas, which in turn will aid Seagulls centre back Jan Paul van Hecke in his quest to continue his shooting form.

The Dutchman has a form line of 3-0-0-2-1 when it comes to shots, so there’s scope there for him to fire in one or more on Sunday at an even money price.

It’s a risk backing centre backs in the shots market, but Van Hecke’s proclivity for shooting – and West Ham’s knack for conceding corners – is a tasty combination.

Jarrod Bowen

Jarrod Bowen was in scintillating form against Manchester United on Thursday evening, running their defence ragged and firing in four shots at goal.

It continues a shooting formline that now reads 4-3-2-3-4 in his last five outings, so Bowen is evidently full of confidence – he ranks fourth in the Premier League this term for shots taken.

Brighton are a perfectly good side, but you suspect that Bowen could have the better of his one-on-one match up with Seagulls left back Ferdi Kadioglu… with more shots on goal the possible outcome.

Samuel Chukwueze

So good was Samuel Chukwueze against Manchester City in midweek that he got the full Pep treatment: Guardiola making a beeline for him after the game to congratulate him on his performance.

Subbed on at half time, the winger scored twice and had four shots in 45 minutes… an output he can surely replicate if starting against Crystal Palace on Sunday – it would be masochistic of Fulham boss Marco Silva not to give Chukwueze the nod.

Palace are so good defensively that it’s, ironically, possible that Fulham will have more shots accordingly: firing at will if half-a-yard of space can be found.
