Minnesota Timberwolves vs Philadelphia 76ers Preview – 3 April 2026

3rd April 2026

Minnesota Timberwolves vs Philadelphia 76ers betting preview

This one is a mess of injuries on both sides – but PHI shade it as 1.77 favourites on the moneyline. Philadelphia are at home and the spread sits at -2.5, which suggests the market sees a close game despite the absentees.

Injury Report: Both Squads Hit Hard

Minnesota are without Anthony Edwards and Rudy Gobert – that’s their best player and their defensive anchor both sidelined. Paul George and Tyrese Maxey are also unavailable for Philadelphia, along with Johni Broome and Kelly Oubre Jr. Neither team is at full strength.

With Edwards out, MIN’s top scorer per the last 10 games drops significantly. PHI’s Joel Embiid (30 PPG) and the returning Paul George (28 PPG) are both injured, meaning VJ Edgecombe (21.4) and Quentin Grimes (17.4) step into bigger roles. Tyrese Maxey averaging 25.7 is also unavailable – PHI are seriously thin.

The Numbers

PHI run a faster pace (104.3 vs MIN’s 92.9) – that 11.4 differential is significant and could stretch Minnesota’s depleted rotation. Philadelphia’s offensive rating of 111 edges MIN’s 100.1, and defensively PHI hold at 108.5 vs Minnesota’s 95.5.

Win% shows PHI at 60%, MIN at 50%. H2H? One game this season – PHI won 135-108 back in February, though that was with a very different roster.

Prop Streaks

Ayo Dosunmu (MIN) is the standout. He’s on an 8-game over streak on Points + Rebounds (line 19.5, averaging 28.2) at 1.80 with BetMGM – and a 7-game over on points alone (line 15.5, averaging 18.8) at 1.85. With Edwards out, Dosunmu is carrying the offensive load and that makes him even more interesting. His Points + Rebounds + Assists line (24.5 vs avg 35.4) is also on a 6-game over streak at 1.91.

VJ Edgecombe (PHI) is on a 7-game under on blocks (0.5 line, avg 0) – low-value but consistent.
