FPL 2025/26: Biggest Price Risers and Fallers Revealed
23rd July 2025

With little in the way of pre-launch teasers this year, the Fantasy Premier League price drops hit us like a wave when the game finally went live. If you didn’t know where to start, you’re not alone.
While we’re still breaking down value by position and price bracket—starting with budget forwards and the key £6.0m–£7.0m range—this quickfire roundup is all about the headline-grabbers: the biggest price risers and fallers for the new season.
Price Rises – Who’s Gone Up?
A total of 116 players saw their FPL prices increase this season, and a few of those hikes raised eyebrows (and budgets).
£2.0m Increases
Four players top the charts with a £2.0m rise:
- Mohamed Salah – £14.5m
- Alexander Isak – £10.5m
- Morgan Rogers – £7.0m
- Joao Pedro – £7.5m
The first three? Easy to justify. Salah’s numbers speak for themselves. Isak was the top-scoring forward, and Rogers was criminally underpriced last season.
Joao Pedro, though, is more of a puzzle. He shone at the FIFA Club World Cup with Chelsea, but his domestic form hasn’t been prolific. With just five non-penalty goals in each of the past two seasons, and penalties likely headed Cole Palmer’s way, £7.5m feels steep.
£1.5m Increases
Twelve more players rose by £1.5m, including:
- Yoane Wissa (£7.5m)
- Chris Wood (£7.5m)
- Matheus Cunha (£8.0m)
No shocks there after productive campaigns. But a few names did surprise us:
- Enzo Fernandez (£6.5m) – Could be poised for a more advanced role at Chelsea, but lacks defensive returns and needs attacking output to justify the hike.
- Kevin Schade (£7.0m) – Quiet last season but could step up in a talismanic role post-Mbeumo. Returned 15 attacking contributions from just 26 starts—on par with more celebrated assets.
- Omar Marmoush (£8.5m) – Now listed as a midfielder, he impressed with 7 goals in 14 starts but seems more like Haaland’s backup than a mainstay at Man City.
Price Falls – Who’s Dropped?
On the flip side, 72 players saw their prices drop. Some deserved, others… maybe a bit harsh.
£1.5m Drops
No £2.0m drops this time, but three big names slid by £1.5m:
- Phil Foden – £8.0m
- Son Heung-min – £8.5m
- Mykhailo Mudryk – £5.0m
Mudryk is likely irrelevant due to his suspension. Son, now 33, is reportedly on uncertain footing at Spurs with Thomas Frank keeping his cards close.
But Foden? He’s the intriguing one. A down year last season mentally and physically, but showed flashes of vintage form at the Club World Cup. Still, Pep rotation fears remain—he started just one of four games in the US.
£1.0m Drops
Some notable players here too:
- Kieran Trippier – £5.0m
Despite the price cut, he averaged 4.4 points per start—elite for a defender. With Livramento and Hall not fully ready, Trippier may start the season strong at RB. - Nicolas Jackson – £6.5m
Rumored to be on United’s radar. If he lands a better supporting cast, he could be an FPL wildcard—suspension in GW1 aside. - Rodrigo Gomes – £4.5m
Now classified as a defender and a potential starter for Wolves if he takes over from Ait-Nouri. One to watch at bargain-basement price. - Ben White (£5.5m) and Kyle Walker (£4.5m)
White’s drop likely stems from uncertainty over minutes. Walker’s fall still doesn’t offer much value—Burnley’s £4.0m defenders may be better picks.
